Welcome to Bloom Haven, a creative retreat space rooted in a love for memory keeping, quilting, and the quiet joy of making something by hand.
My journey into scrapbooking began shortly after the birth of my daughter, when I felt a deep desire to capture and preserve every fleeting moment. What started as a personal passion soon grew into years of attending scrapbook retreats with friends and family—weekends filled with creativity, laughter, and connection. One of those retreats included my mother and sister. While my mom wasn’t a scrapbooker, she happily brought along her quilting projects, spending the weekend piecing quilts while the rest of us worked with paper and photos.
For years, she gently tried to spark my interest in sewing and quilting, but I resisted—until a pivotal moment in 2018 changed everything.

That year, I attended the Cricut Mountain Make-a-Thon to expand my skills and learn new ways to use my Cricut machine. On a bit of a whim, I also signed up for a couple of sewing classes where the fabric was cut using a Cricut. I vividly remember how out of place I felt—I had no idea what the instructors were talking about. Terms like ¼-inch seam, threading a needle, and topstitch were completely foreign to me. Despite the frustration, I was instantly drawn in by the bright, beautiful fabrics and the creativity surrounding me.
Not long after, my mother and I began attending quilt retreats together. We went on shop hops, took bus trips, and found just about any excuse to add to our growing fabric collections. Within a few short years, I wasn’t just sewing—I was learning to long-arm quilt alongside my mom. Those shared experiences deepened our bond and gifted us countless memories that I will always treasure.

In December 2020, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. She faced an intense five-month battle with incredible strength and grace before passing away on May 10, 2021. I am profoundly grateful for the years we shared learning, creating, and growing together through quilting. The friendships we formed and the memories we stitched side by side are among the most precious gifts she left me.
The name Bloom Haven carries deep and personal meaning. My mother’s nickname was “Bloom,” a reflection of her spirit—rooted in growth, beauty, and resilience. Those same qualities are woven into everything we strive to cultivate here: a safe, welcoming place where creativity flourishes and meaningful connections are made.

In the first 15 months since opening Bloom Haven, I have been continually humbled and inspired by what this space has become. What began as a dream has grown into a place filled with laughter, creativity, deep conversations, new friendships, and the joy of seeing so many guests return again and again. The connections formed here—around shared tables, late-night projects, and creative breakthroughs—have affirmed that Bloom Haven is exactly what it was meant to be.
Bloom Haven is open for those who, like me, cherish the joy of creating and preserving memories through crafting. Whether you are a quilter, scrapbooker, or any type of creative enthusiast, you’ll find a serene and inspiring environment designed to support your passion. Our retreat space is thoughtfully equipped with spacious workstations, comfortable seating, excellent lighting, and specialized tools—everything you need to bring your creative visions to life.
I invite you to join us at Bloom Haven to relax, recharge, and connect with fellow makers. Together, we create beautiful projects, meaningful friendships, and lasting memories—honoring the spirit of creativity my mother and I shared.
Welcome to Bloom Haven—where creativity blooms and memories are preserved.
